Arguably South Africa's moist unique musical collaboration, CODA will be starting off Spring in style at the Gatta Patat Theatre Café on the 17th September 2010. CODA'S sound represents a fresh new wave of contemporary South African music that is as diverse as the performers behind the music.
Combining the irresistible beats of SA dance music with Afro-jazz, House, Kwaito and Classical influences CODA's songs put to music the multiplicity and allure of South Africa.
Their soccer song ‘Blow Your Vuvuzela' became the unofficial anthem of the 2010 World Cup and their signature Afro-fusion vibe has resulted in CODA becoming one of the busiest groups in SA.
Their virtuoso repertoire showcases the skill and talent of the performers and draws on influences of several dance-orientated styles of music including House and Kwaito, as well as the more ambient sounds associated with Buddha Bar and Café Del Mar.
